I'm not a Minions fan, but I'm not going to deny that I've seen the previous three movies either. Something different happened to me with this movie: I had visitors at home and I decided to take my nephews to see it. Honestly, I thought I could snooze a little in the comfortable recliners.
To my surprise, I was paying attention to the movie the whole time. And yes, the truth is that watching this movie with children was ideal. Hearing the honest laughter and emotions that the Minions arouse in children and adults was a delight.
I don't think it's the best film in the saga, but they didn't stray from the winning formula either. The Minions have a simple humor with a lot of adventures, which is all you expect from them. Gru and company try to fit in in the suburbs while trying to balance his life as a dad and “ex-supervillain.” I don't want to give any spoilers but the Mega Minions that are the result of an experiment take them to the next level!
Last week we talked about Inside Out, which I think is a children's movie made to heal adults. This week we have a light children's movie that allows adults to let out their inner child...
Enjoy it with a little one! I'm sure it's the best way to do it.
