Hola! Or rather, hi there!
Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm James, and I will [hopefully] be your friendly neighborhood gringo.
See, there's this idea that I've cooked up with this lovely community paper to have a little column - a corner oasis, if you will - among this Latin splendor of Azul615, that could perhaps serve as a small bridge between our cultures. Here, we postulated, I could take questions from you, our readers, about anything you might wonder about or otherwise want to know from a local caucasian fella's perspective but have yet to ask.
A small bridge between our cultures
This could by anything from food stuff to dating advice to general worldviews and beyond. The idea here is to compare our cultures, rejoice in our similarities as well as our differences, and hopefully have a bit of fun along the way. This is just an experiment for the joy of it and might very well morph into something entirely different as we go. Who knows?
At any rate, I'm thrilled to be a part of this ever-growing zine that they call Azul 615 and look forward to hearing from you, so please send in your questions or topics you'd like to see discussed, and we will choose one submission per issue and wax on it here. Salud, and see you next go-round!
