Preparation
Hello, today we have one of my favorite cravings: sopes. It must be clarified that there are different types of sopes and depending on what state or city they come from, the ingredients change. Hope you like. This recipe is intended for approximately 4 people.
Let's start:
We start by making the sauce. We can brown the vegetables in a pan with oil. When they change color, add the tomatoes, garlic, onion and chili. Then we put everything in the blender, add the powders and add 4 oz of water. We add the pinch of oregano and blend again. With that, the sauce is left.
The next step is preparing the sopes. We start with the corn flour and add 1 oz of salt and 1 oz of black pepper. We add warm water until we reach the desired texture.
We put a little flour on the board to shape our sopes and thus prevent them from sticking. Normally, I pinch around the flat dough to shape it.
In a pot, add enough hot oil so that the sope floats when cooked, approximately 1 minute per side. Here it also depends on how you want it cooked or crispy. We take out and drain the sopes.
We move on to the next step, which is cooking the ground meat. We put oil in a frying pan, add two cloves of garlic and 1/6 of a white onion. When it changes color, add the ground beef and add 1 oz of salt, 1 oz of black pepper, 1 oz of ground garlic and 1 oz of tomato broth.
We cook for approximately 7 minutes, until everything is golden brown. With that, you are ready.
Finally, you can chop the vegetables to taste.
I'll wait for you in the next recipe. Have a productive and efficient day!
