El año pasado, la “polémica” de la ceremonia de los premios de la Academia fue la película de “Everything Everywhere All at Once” la cual en antaño no hubiera sido considerada para la premiación, empero, en 2023 se llevó 7 estatuillas en total: Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Montaje, Mejor Actor de Reparto para Ke Huy Quan, Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Jamie Lee Curtis y Mejor Actriz para Michelle Yeoh.
